Battle Born Broncs

The City of Fallon along with Battle Born Boots is excited to present the 6th Annual “Battle Born Broncs” in Fallon, Nevada, April 17, 2027.

Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association, “Battle Born Broncs” will be held for the sixth consecutive year inside the state-of-the-art Rafter 3C Arena in Churchill County. The 3C Events Complex is Churchill County's most revolutionary events center yet and on Saturday April 17, 2027 it will feature the 6th Annual event, along with the third Battle Born Jr. Roughstock Challenge on April 15th!

This elite Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association sanctioned "Xtreme Broncs" event draws the top bareback and saddle bronc riders in the world to Northern Nevada to compete for $50,000 in prize money along with two coveted trophy bronzes, and two pairs of handmade boots among other prizes given to the champions of each event valued at an additional $10,000. National Finals Rodeo qualifiers and World Champions have compared the bronc match to a “mini NFR performance" because of the quality of the bucking stock our world class stock contractors bring and the caliber of cowboys who are permitted to ride at Battle Born Broncs. All money won at this event counts toward the PRCA World Standings which determines the top fifteen contestants in each event who will ultimately qualify and have the honor of competing for a world championship at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in December.

Thursday April 15th, the Battle Born Jr. Roughstock Challenge hosts athletes ages 6-18 from all over the United States and Canada to compete for cash, prizes and a chance at a qualification to the Jr. NFR in December. This event kicks off our rodeo weekend and is free to the public.

Our PRCA Youth Camp is held on Friday, April 16th. Attendees must register by March 15, 2027. Spectators are encouraged to come and watch from the stands as professional rodeo athletes including World Champions and Hall of Famers mentor the next generation of rodeo superstars.

Our fundraising focus in 2026 was raising funds and awareness for Domestic Violence Intervention in Fallon and Lyon County. We were also able to raise $10,000 to benefit World Champion Bareback Rider and friend to Battle Born Broncs, Dean Thompson who was declared “cancer free” later in 2026.

The Fallon High School Rodeo is held in the outdoor Fairview Arena at the 3C Complex April 16-18 and is free to the public.
